Double News

Greetings Everyone ;-)

I hope you're all well.

I have a couple of pieces of news!
Firstly, (as you can see by the main poster) the 'Writers Desk Set's' are finally finished! and are now live on my Marketplace store ;-)

There are three wood textures: Antique Oak Wood, Gothic Ebony Wood and Medieval Mahogany. The chairs have 15 seat pad and cushion options, which can be used as complementary sets or mix and matched to give a completely unique look.
Along with cuddles and adult animations, both the desk and chair rez additional objects and wearable attachments, and I've also included quite a few extras into the sets; books, coins, candles, and the wax stamp set.

The desks have been a complete labor of love, in the end, especially as they were initially intended to just be display pieces for my store, but I'm really happy with how they've turned out and I'll be adding some more pieces to the 'Writers Collection' over the next few weeks, which brings me on to my second piece of news ...
I've been invited to join this year's 'Home and Garden Expo', which returns on the 13th of February through to the 4th March 2020.
If you have read my blog you'll know that I've been affected by cancer and anything I can do to help find a cure is never a bad thing, so I'm seriously thrilled to have been asked as it's in aid of 'Relay for Life'.
I've got two new pieces to create; exclusives for the event, I've ticked the box to provide a hunt gift and I've said yes to having a gatcha, so to say I'll be busy and rushed off my feet this month might be a little bit of an understatement, but I'm determined to complete it all! ;-)
I visited the event last year when I first logged back into Second Life and I bought quite a few pieces to support the cause, so it's amazing to me that I'll now be a part of it this year! and if you get the chance to go this year, it's well worth the trip, not just for the shopping, although that is a serious fun part to SL, there are all kinds of things going on besides, click the link below for the itinerary.

Who knows where this year will take me and my little store 'Laminak' but it's starting off well, and I hope your lives are also getting off to a good start in 2020 ;-).

I'd better get back to 3ds Max hey? ;-)

Bye for now,
Much love and many hugs to you all.

A New Decade Starts

Greetings and Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope you've all had a wonderful time over the Christmas holidays.

It's been a strange few weeks (RL interfering with my plans again!) but I've finally managed to get some more of the items I've been beavering away at for the last few months on the Market Place.

The items are for the desk and chair set, that I'm STILL working on, and when I've finished setting up the animations for this, it too will be on Market Place to complete this set ;-) phew! It's only taken me - counts on my fingers and toes - about 10 months to complete it! but like fine wine, you can't rush these things (sighs).
There are 2 different Candle and Holder sets, both have 3 different base textures and 3 different candle colours, and both come in complete fatpacks - containing all bases and all candle colours - 18 different candles and holders in total 9 in each fatpack ;-)
There is also a medieval book set:
And a medieval writing set:
All are Copy/Mod - No Transfer.

Once I've finally mastered Avsitter and programmed the chair I'll finally be able to get on with other things! It feels as though I've been learning mesh for a million years now! I'm going to attempt to make a bed next and maybe a bedroom set, but as always, I have to be in the right mood and the right frame of mind before I start, so who knows? it may well be something else! ;-) .... (I'm not fickle ... honest!)

I'm wondering, as this new year starts if I'll finally get my store up and running properly this year. It's been a long long journey so far, one that started in January of 2019 when I decided to head back into SL, and although it feels as though this last year has sped by so quickly, it also feels as though I've been plodding along years. I can, however, see improvements and I have learned SO much it's scary! but what a buzz it's all been!

I've met some amazing people this last year, made some fabulous new friends, I've seen many wonderful places, bought some incredible builds, and I've had some great times!
Mesh building is starting to get a LOT easier, to the point I don't really think too much now, I just get on and do, which is amazing! Texturing is also getting easier and I'm actually starting to really enjoy the different processes with it all, but there's more to do! and I'm determined to progress Laminak even further this coming year ;-)

I'm not sure who, if anyone reads these blog posts, I'm very aware that for the most part, they're just for me at the moment, a sort of reminder to myself how far I've come, but there will, at some point, be someone who will surely read this and if that's you, HI!

For now, as 2020 starts, I wish you all a wonderful year! I hope the goals you set for yourselves come to fruition and your lives are filled with fun and plenty of adventures, but mostly I hope the experiences you have are good ones and that as the final days of this first year of a new decade come to an end in December this year that you look back on 2020 with fond memories and not sad ones.

Much love and huge hugs to you all!
