Fairlands 2020

I hope you're well and still keeping safe. 

The Fantasy Faire ~ 2020, is OPEN! And I'm so thrilled to be a part of this amazing event and charity this year. 
In aid of 'Relay For Life', via the American Cancer Society, the cause is something ~ that I've previously explained in earlier blogs ~, is very close to my heart, and I'm delighted, even in a very small way, to be able to help out.

I took a little time, once I'd finished setting up my store on Elemaria, to walk through all 18 sims for this year's Faire and it's all, and I really mean ALL, completely AMAZING!

I do of course have my favorites as I'm sure you will too, and I don't want to completely spoil the surprise, so I'm just going to talk about a few of them. 

Laminak is on Elemaria, sponsored by Bee Dumpling the creator of, Silvan Moon, and is designed by SolasNa Gealai.
Elemaria is filled with Castles, Medieval Buildings, and secret little hideaway places where you can sit for a little break as you wander through the Fairlands. I love it, being completely obsessed with castles anyway this really was Laminak's dream sim to be on ;-)

Before the sim allocations were announced however my second choice, based on the descriptions of the sim themes was this one: Auxentio's Pass, designed by Faust Steamer, the owner of Contraption, and I think I'd have been equally happy residing here for the few weeks that the Faire is on. 

I loved everything about this sim. How cold it feels as you walk onto it, the buildings and decor. It's all wonderful, creepy, and mysterious ;-). 

The next sim I loved was the one at the top of this blog: Isle of Shadows by Aelva.
According to the information on the Fantasy Faire website, which I'll link below, 'this is the region hosting both Fantasy Faire Radio, and their flagship, the dragon-borne FaireChylde where the Fairelands’ famous dance parties will take place'. 


It's also where all the Gatcha's have been placed.
Who doesn't love Pirates, Caves, and Dragons?! ;-)

The next Sim that Instantly made me want to stop and take a photo was, Zodiac. Sponsored by Fallen Gods and Designed by Alia Baroque.

It might be the ancient theme, it might be the colours, it might be the buildings, it might just be all of it! Described as a 'Living Planetarium', it was a pleasure to walk around.

The Fantasy Faire is a fantastical place to go and explore, I can't recommend it enough, it's like being 'home' for me and I already know I'll miss it when it's gone!

Fantasy Faire 2020

Greetings everyone ;-)

I hope you're all well and keeping safe while we're still on lockdown. 

Thankfully, Second Life is still proving to be a sanctuary for many and a place we can meet up without worrying, and the events are certainly helping to cheer people up. 

Speaking of events ... this year's' Fantasy Faire' is almost here and I'm so thrilled to be involved! The Fairlands open on the 23rd April and I've created quite a bit, for the 100% Donation items and Exclusives, and I'll be launching new textures for the Antique Bed sets.  
Firstly, Laminak has a new Tudor style fireplace. It comes in 3 different wood options, Dark Oak, Mid Oak, and Aged Black. Each has a texture changer for the stone/marble surround, with 6 versions to choose from.

To complement the Fireplaces I've created a Toolset, Log Bucket, and five Cuddles Rugs.

The Cuddles Rugs are offered as part of Laminak's 100% Donation items for the Faire, along with a selection of candles.

All items are 100% Original Mesh, Copy, Mod, No Transfer.

Secondly, the new versions of the Antique Beds.
I've been asked quite a few times to create different wood options, so I've created, Aged Black and Mid Oak versions. 

The two new beds come with 2 bedding textures, the Country Cream original, plus Country Flowers for the Mid Oak, and a new Black Damask bedding and curtain set for the Aged Black, wood.
They come in Adult or PG, in a set with the matching side table and rugs, or on their own. 

And Finally, as if that wasn't enough for one blog ;-)
I've created matching bedroom furniture for each of the woods.

I have made these new pieces of furniture extra-large! for the big castles and mansions, but they're modifiable and can be shrunk down to fit most, if not all, homes. 

Phew ...
I'm onto a new project today, something Boho in style for the May round of Swank, and I've just started the next Group Gift, which I'll release soon.

Hollywood Glamour at Swank

Greetings Everyone ;-)

It's almost time for Laminak's second round at Swank and this month it's 'Hollywood Glamour!'

I've created a chaise set, complete with antique chaise longue, a side table, rugs, pictures and a champagne tray, which hands out a cool glass of bubbly. 

It's a strange time we currently live in, with the virus, but Second Life is such a fabulous place to go, to carry on life as normal, meet friends, socialize and just have a bit of fun. 

I started this set before things got as bad as they currently have and I wondered if I should still release it, after all, it's a party type set and would people really want to party? but then I thought, people need to get up close and personal with their friends and loved ones more than ever right now and need cheering up, so here it is. 

I hope you're all keeping safe, I hope you haven't been badly affected by it, I hope all your loved ones, friends and families are well and I hope you're managing to keep sane whilst the lockdown is in place!

Get your real-life friends and family to join you in SL, or just gather your SL friends and family and host some parties, have a drink and shut the real-life nightmares out for a while ;-)

Perhaps the Swank event could give you ideas? there's plenty to choose from, indoor and outdoor decor and furniture, clothes for men and women, gadgets and accessories!
Host that party, whatever theme you go for, or no theme at all, just 'be' together ;-).

The 'Hollywood Glamour' Chaise's come in 4 different upholstery textures, White and Black, Cream and Vintage Print. 
2 different kinds of wood, Black or Natural, and either as PG or Adult, in a set or on their own.
The blankets also have 15 different texture options, so there should be a colour that matches with the rest of your home ;-)  

I've also created chaises with textures to match the Country Cream, Country Flowers and Regal Red Antique Oak Bed sets, these are available in my little store. 

**These chaises just come with a side table as the other accessories are available with the Bed sets**
