New Laminak Main Store - We've Moved!!

My Final Blog for the day then I'm all caught up! Phew ;-)

I'm getting closer and closer to owning a sim! But, for now, a Homestead of my own is the logical next step.

You may be wondering why I've moved again ... and it pretty much boils down to needing more prims/land impact. I was running out, fast! The homestead the store was previously on I shared with my friend Aliah from God Mod, and it wasn't fair to ask her to move so I spent a couple of weeks pondering what to do, and then I found a homestead called 'Queens Lake' and well, it just seemed perfect! So I took the plunge and started renting it.

I'm keeping hold of half of the old homestead, Shadowfell, to eventually use for the clothing that I mentioned previously, but for now, welcome to the new Laminak on Queens Lake! ;-)

I hope it's easy to get around, I've organized everything into better sections which I hope make sense, there are teleporters now in random places, but I wanted to keep the open feel of the previous store so that you can all fly around and stop where you want, so use them or just fly it's up to you ;-).

Taxi to the new store is below, use the taxi button to the right of this blog or check my profile pics for the store location.

OK, all caught up with news, a few more events coming up including another new event to Second Life, but more about that next month ;-)

Love and huge hugs to you all, as always ;-)

Pendragon Council Tables - Fantasy Faire 2021 - The Fairelands Are Open!

Greetings!

I can hardly believe it's been an entire year since the 'Fairelands' was last open, but for the second year in a row, Laminak is part of this amazing event!

I wanted to create something really special for it, and I spent a long time trying to figure out what to make. I had 2 ideas in mind, but then I was contacted by the owner of Rosehaven, a place that has, for me anyway, always felt like 'Home'. When I first logged back into SL in 2018 after 6-7 years away, I bought land there, as I have done many many times over the years (it was the very first place I ever had land in SL waaay way back in 2007!), to set up a home. The only reason I left this time was because I had to watch what I was spending as I'd just re-opened the store, or I'd still be there now. It's such a magical place! If you're ever looking for a place to call home that's based around all things fantasy this is the place to go. I'll include a LM below so you can check it .. but .. digressing here back to Fantasy Faire ;-)

She wondered if I'd be able to make a new conference/meeting table for the Great Hall at Rosehaven and I didn't need to think twice! I was so delighted to be able to contribute to the sims, I said yes right away, although I wasn't sure at the time how I'd go about it! hahaha

I pondered for weeks how to go about it as I wanted to give people tons of options more than just changing textures, and this is what I came up with!

The table you see above in the main poster is horseshoe in shape but it's modular, so you can change this to any number of configurations you want, use all of the parts, or just some of the parts! There's a left end piece, a right end piece and sections in-between that can be used alone or joined up to create separate tables.

The tabletops have 6 different Mid Oak designs, the legs have 2 texture options, but all are changed via a texture hud.

I've included in the box two pre-configured table setups, a smaller version for 7-21 council members and a larger version for 7- 28 council members.

The pack comes with two different chair designs, each of which has 21 seat pad texture options, so you can arrange them as in the picture with a 'Leader' using one chair and the 'Members' using the other or use all one kind of chair.

There are 46 Male and Female animations in the chairs including a special, custom, Toasting Ceremony.

To go with the 'Council Table' I've made a 'Speakers Platform'. This is sold separately because not everyone will need or want this, but it also has options.
There are 6 different texture options to match the council tabletops and as it's mod, you can change this to have more than one set of steps into the center.
So for example, if you split the table up into 2, 3, or even 4 sections you can have people enter the center circle at different places, and walk up different steps to reach the center to speak, or maybe face trial?  the choice is yours!
It occurred to me as I was creating this set though, that there might not be many who could actually use it, even in its parts as it really is a huge piece of furniture! So I've created a second table set that can be used alone or in conjunction with the main Council Table.

The Chamber tables are solid round tables and come in a pack with 3 different table sizes, spaces for 1-8 people. The tabletops change via a texture changer to have similar Mid Oak textures to the Council Tables and Speakers Platforms and come with both the chairs described above.
Finally, and to complete the set, as I've previously made larger Pendragon Candlesticks with these sets in mind, I've created smaller candle dishes to use on the tables.
These currently form part of the 100% donation items I have available for the Faire.
They're sold in 3 different metal packs - Gold, Silver, or Gothic, and come with 5-8 candle textures to match the candlesticks.

Big blog post hey?! ;-)

Laminak is also providing a hunt gift for the event, details of this and the other RFL items, as well as the main display of the tables sets, can be seen at the Laminak store on A'Dracunas at the Faire:

Ok, think that's it for this post I have one more blog to create today regarding the Main Store but more on that next!

Hope you all have fun exploring the Fairelands, thank you so much in advance for any donations or purchases you make via the RFL vendors this year!
Love and hugs

Hamptons Display Stand

Greetings Everyone!

I'm going to try to play a little catch-up today! O.O

The lead-up to Fantasy Faire (details of which will be in the blog after this) was a little bit busy, and, I've also started learning how to make clothes! I won't be creating historical clothing to start with, it'll be more 'modern' type items while I learn it all fully, but it's an exciting change to the furniture for me and as my RL background is actually in costume and dressmaking I'm hoping I can cross the skills over to it, at least a little anyway ;-)

Anyway. There are a few new items at the main store!
Firstly, there's a 'Display' stand, in woods to match the 'Hamptons Dresser' - White, White Grunge, Beech, Mahogany, Mid Oak, and Black.

They're just 1Li each at the size provided and can be used for all manner of things, from vases and statues to plants, books, lamps, or candles.

They're sold separately or as a fatpack.

Secondly, to go with the Display Stands, I've added a range of vases to the "Relic Collection' Items.

There are 6 to choose from, 75L and just 1Li each, everything as always is Copy/Mod/No Transfer.

Of course, you can rez these anywhere, they don't have to be used with the stands ;-) and they look great with the other vases that are part of the Relic Collection.

Ok, that's it for this post. 'Fantasy Faire' goodies next and news about the Main Store!

Lots of love and huge hugs to you all.

The Hampton's Dresser

Greetings Everyone ;-)

Hope you all had an amazing time with friends and family (restrictions still permitting) over Easter - can you believe it's been a whole year now? ;-(

Anyway, I've been getting things ready for Fantasy Faire but there were still a few events to make for before this starts and the first for this month is for the 'We Love Roleplay Event'.

I've created the first in a series of solid furniture items, decor only with as low Li as possible but still keeping the detail I want, to help decorate your homes.

The Hampton's Dresser comes in 6 different wood options: White, White Grunge, Beech, Mahogany, Mid Oak, and Black.

Sold in packs of two, a plain version and a fancy version for each wood option, or as a fatpack with a texture hud.

They're 5Li each at the size provided and are copy, mod, no transfer.

I've set the dresser out in the display area at the main store if you want to see it before visiting the event.

Think that's it for now ;-)

Lots more coming this month! then I've got something different I'll be starting work on ;-) but more about that next month.

Bye for now.
Love and hugs
