New Release - Store Only

Greetings, Greetings, and Salutations ;-)

I promise I'll get back to furniture building again soon, but I do seem to have been a little distracted lately making lighting! ;-)

I've created a set of Medieval/Gothic Wall Torches and Braziers (fire baskets) that are available in the Laminak store only. 

The Wall Torches come in 4 metal options, in large or small and with a touch on and off fire. 
Materials are enabled and as always they're 100% Original Mesh, Copy/Mod, No Transfer. 

The Braziers come in 5 metal options, with a touch on and off fire. 
Materials are enabled and again they're 100% Original Mesh, Copy/Mod, No Transfer. 

I've got more lighting planned but I've put these to one side to start working on the next things for Swank, more information to follow on that though ;-)

Second Life Explorations

Greetings Everyone ;-)

As always in these days of the pandemic, I hope you're keeping safe.

I've taken a bit of time to explore this week, I think I mentioned in the last blog I might, and I've had a great time finding some cool places around the grid.

As always, the destination guide was a great place to look and my first stop was to the Ariadne Zoo. 

This was great! plenty of animals and other things to see as we explored. 
It's one of the many things that's so magical about SL, I'll never be able to get this close to these magnificent creatures in real life, and I'm sure I wasn't meant to get this close to them in SL, but shhhhhh I won't tell if you won't? ;-)

Erm ...... Also found an alien, but he wasn't very chatty, guessing he hadn't found the time to learn English yet .....

My next stop was to a place that has been based on the film, 'The Notebook'. 
It's called Aspen Falls, and I highly recommend it. They've really paid great attention to detail here, and it's actually quite a magical sim to walk around.
Sadly got too preoccupied with exploring and didn't take many pics, which I guess is a good sign? ;-)

I remember the film but it's been a while since I last saw it, and honestly, that really doesn't matter. If you love the film or haven't seen it, or your memory is as bad as mine! this is still a fun place to spend some time and well worth a visit.

The last trip out was to a place called 'Breath of Nature'. 
Not sure how to describe it really but I loved it there. It's set out in little scenes, places you can chill, relax, dance, or take photographs in as you wind your way around the paths. 

 And it was perfect for a little bike ride.

I'll add all the Landmarks to the bottom of the blog, but again, I'd highly recommend this sim if you're looking for something to do apart from shop ;-).

Ok, I guess that's it, I'll be adding another blog after this about a new release at the store! I haven't spent the entire week chilling, although there are some days I wish I could hahaha.

Midsummer Enchantment Exclusives & New Items In Store

I hope all is good in your world and you're keeping safe. 
Feels like we'll never get to end of this Covid19 pandemic, doesn't it? ;-(

Anyhoo .. I've kept myself busy! ;-)
Firstly, I'm delighted to be included in the Midsummer Enchantment Event. It runs from the 10th July to the 26th of July and I've created a complete set of 'Enchanted Lanterns' for it.
The event exclusives are 'Handheld' Lanterns in 4 metals with 3 glass options each, and 'Wall' Lanterns, in 3 metals with 3 glass colours each. 

The handheld lanterns come with a hud and 2 animations that you can wear with your AO, so you can walk around with them ;-). 
The only issue I've found is with the older AO's, and when I say old, I mean really old, like mine .. hahaha, maybe I need to update? I've tried them with a newer AO and they work perfectly fine (I just don't like the new AO, so I'm stubbornly keeping the old one in use .. sighs heavily at myself)
They also have a realistic flame you can turn on and off that emits a soft glow. 

The Wall Lanterns come with the same realistic flame as the handheld. There are 3 metals to choose from and 3 glass options for each metal. Both are available as exclusives at 'Midsummer Enchantment'. LM Below. 

To compliment these and to complete the set I have a 'Path' and a 'Street' Lantern, only available in the Laminak Main Store. 

Both come in the same metal and glass options as the Wall Lanterns, and there's 10% off for group members if you wear your tag when you get there.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Aliah Hirano, not only for modeling in the main advert but for actually taking the photograph too! The outfit she's wearing is one of hers from her God Mod Store. 
I'll include the LM to her store below as I've been asked a few times now where the outfit in the advert came from ;-).

So what's next? 
I have 3 events coming up in September and October that I've started building for but I'm trying to fill up my store with things that are missing, pictures, decor and lighting that make rooms, well, rooms ;-) 
I've also got a new line of wall torches coming out soon, you can see the work in progress down the steps at the main store, but I won't be releasing these things yet, I want to complete the planned set before I do that, but it won't be long ;-)

I'm also in need of some exploring! so my next blog might well be about that, but we'll see ;-). 

I guess I'd better get back to work.
