1 Liner Manor - Brand New Role Play Sim

Greetings!!!

So, I've been hinting on and on about this in previous blogs and I can finally now let you all in on what has been a seriously big secret!

'1Liner Manor' on 'AFAR' sim, is now OPEN! and I'm thrilled to have been asked to help the sim creators - Cira Emor and Tahiti Rae - by creating a few props for the 4 main characters along with a few extra props for everyone who visits to use.

Where do I start?!

Maybe with showing you the actual Manor?

If I said it was absolutely incredible! it would be a serious understatement! be prepared for a lot of adjectives here! hahaha
The grounds too are also spectacular and perfect for taking photos, something the sim owners would love people to come and do. And it's practically lag-free. They've paid great attention to every single detail to make sure there's nothing that could possibly spoil your fun, which leads me on to the next point... ;-)

What's it about?
The idea is, that instead of long, drawn-out, and tiring roleplay you only use 1 line of text!

'Now isn't that refreshing?'
'Did you say this place is meant to be fun?'
'Yes, I DID!'

See what I did there? ;-) it's actually easier than it might sound at first! and for those who give the best '1 liners', there's a gallery specifically for 'Epic 1 Liners' - those who make everyone laugh the most. Because that's what the sim owners are hoping for, lots of laughs, tons of fun, and for everyone to have the best time possible there!

Are there rules?
Well, apart from the dress code - loosely, Elizabethen to Jacobean, circa 1500 to 1700 - the main one is that you only converse in 1 line. There's far more information at the landing point, but let's just say there are repercussions for speaking more than 1 line! ;-)

Can you live there?
Absolutely! There are suites specifically designed for the 4 main characters, but they also have rooms you can rent or sublet!

What else?
They have a dueling area between two oaks on the grounds.
Beautiful gardens to sit and relax in.
Music rooms, a bar, and a ballroom. There's so much there they've had to create a museum with information and a floor map of the house and grounds!

OK, onto the 4 Main Roles!

I'm not going to give too much away regarding the specific character traits, for that you'll need to speak to Cira or Tah, what I can do though is show you what I've made for each character and perhaps whet your appetite to learn more?! ;-)

Please note that they're looking for 2 people for each role, 8 roles in total, so you'll need to be quick if you'd like to be a major player at the sim. ;-)

The Gardener.

The Lord's Daughter.

The Handsome Cousin.

and Finally ....
The Butler.

Each Prop is specific to something of importance for that character ;-)
The other props I've created are for use by anyone and are on sale at the AFAR sim landing point.

There are of course other props, including a Prayer Book, a Tobacco Pipe, Toots! a Rose, Cleaning Cloths, and a Cap to wear that have been created by Cira and Tah, and together we'll all add to these when time permits. For now, though, I hope this has perhaps piqued your interest enough, even just a little bit ;-) to pay Afar and 1Liner Manor a visit.

That's it for now, but I'll hopefully catch some of you at 1Liner Manor soon!
Huge hugs, and lots of love, as always.

SL17 - Birthday - Exclusives and Free Gift

Greetings Everyone ;-)

I hope you're all well and keeping safe.

It's Second Life's Birthday!!

17 Years! I joined in 2007, so I've been in and out for the last 13 years or so and it still fascinates me ;-)

I was accepted to be a part of the Shop and Hop event! and have created the final version of the Antique beds - Dreamy Creamy White Oak. A new range of furniture is now in the making ;-)
I've also created 3 new bedding and curtain options, Lemon, Pink, and Blue, and the furniture to match.

The Birthday party is open from the 19th June to the 12th July 2020, and apart from the shopping and over 150 free gifts to pick up, there's a pile of music events happening and of course the chats with the Lindens.
Here's a link to the various things going on:
https://secondlife.com/destinations/sl17b/sl17b_events

The free gift for Laminak is a small garden set. I've created a new set of textures, exclusive for the event - this set will be retired on the 12th of July - for the boho stools. A grungy white and grungy weather-worn 'Second Life' blue, lots of animations including drinks, and there's also a texture changer with 7 different texture options for the cushions.
Laminak's little store is on the Jubilant sim, link to the LM below, and there's 25% off everything that's on display there.

I think that's it for now, I'll be adding another blog after this about the new RP sim I've been involved in! but for now, stay safe, sending big hugs to you all!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SECOND LIFE! ;-)

Love

Boho Garden Set - Swank - May 2020

Greetings!

I hope you're all doing well, staying safe, and managing to keep sane during the lockdown!

The new Swank event has just opened, with the vibrant, funky, hippy, colourful and downright fun theme of Boho.

I've created a complete garden for it, with an ivy-covered stone, garden divider, tables and worn out, painted chairs and stools.

I wanted it to be as bright and colorful as possible, but there is the option, if you didn't want to buy the mix and match set, to just have a table and single coloured chairs and stools.

The larger of the 3 tables features a runner with 6 texture options.

But there are 2 other tables, for 4 seats and 2 seats, although you can crowd the stools around either to make it more social. ;-)

There are 4, painted wood options for the chairs, with 13 texture options for the seat pad.

And the same coloured paint for the stools, also with 13 texture options for the cushion.

I've been asked to join a new RP venture, that I can't tell you about just yet, but I'll be busy building for that and something 'very sweet' for the next round of Swank this month! I can't wait to share the information with you, but for now, I'll just grab my kaftan and share the Boho love with you all! ;-)

Big hugs to you all!

Love and peace ;-)

Casey

Fairlands 2020

Greetings All ;-)

I hope you're well and still keeping safe.

The Fantasy Faire ~ 2020, is OPEN! And I'm so thrilled to be a part of this amazing event and charity this year.
In aid of 'Relay For Life', via the American Cancer Society, the cause is something ~ that I've previously explained in earlier blogs ~, is very close to my heart, and I'm delighted, even in a very small way, to be able to help out.

I took a little time, once I'd finished setting up my store on Elemaria, to walk through all 18 sims for this year's Faire and it's all, and I really mean ALL, completely AMAZING!

I do of course have my favorites as I'm sure you will too, and I don't want to completely spoil the surprise, so I'm just going to talk about a few of them.

Laminak is on Elemaria, sponsored by Bee Dumpling the creator of, Silvan Moon, and is designed by SolasNa Gealai.
Elemaria is filled with Castles, Medieval Buildings, and secret little hideaway places where you can sit for a little break as you wander through the Fairlands. I love it, being completely obsessed with castles anyway this really was Laminak's dream sim to be on ;-)

Before the sim allocations were announced however my second choice, based on the descriptions of the sim themes was this one: Auxentio's Pass, designed by Faust Steamer, the owner of Contraption, and I think I'd have been equally happy residing here for the few weeks that the Faire is on.

I loved everything about this sim. How cold it feels as you walk onto it, the buildings and decor. It's all wonderful, creepy, and mysterious ;-).

The next sim I loved was the one at the top of this blog: Isle of Shadows by Aelva.
According to the information on the Fantasy Faire website, which I'll link below, 'this is the region hosting both Fantasy Faire Radio, and their flagship, the dragon-borne FaireChylde where the Fairelands’ famous dance parties will take place'.

It's also where all the Gatcha's have been placed.
Who doesn't love Pirates, Caves, and Dragons?! ;-)

The next Sim that Instantly made me want to stop and take a photo was, Zodiac. Sponsored by Fallen Gods and Designed by Alia Baroque.

It might be the ancient theme, it might be the colours, it might be the buildings, it might just be all of it! Described as a 'Living Planetarium', it was a pleasure to walk around.

The Fantasy Faire is a fantastical place to go and explore, I can't recommend it enough, it's like being 'home' for me and I already know I'll miss it when it's gone!

Hope you all have fun, hope you're all keeping safe.
Much love and many hugs, as always.

Fantasy Faire 2020

Greetings everyone ;-)

I hope you're all well and keeping safe while we're still on lockdown.

Thankfully, Second Life is still proving to be a sanctuary for many and a place we can meet up without worrying, and the events are certainly helping to cheer people up.

Speaking of events ... this year's' Fantasy Faire' is almost here and I'm so thrilled to be involved! The Fairlands open on the 23rd April and I've created quite a bit, for the 100% Donation items and Exclusives, and I'll be launching new textures for the Antique Bed sets.
Firstly, Laminak has a new Tudor style fireplace. It comes in 3 different wood options, Dark Oak, Mid Oak, and Aged Black. Each has a texture changer for the stone/marble surround, with 6 versions to choose from.

To complement the Fireplaces I've created a Toolset, Log Bucket, and five Cuddles Rugs.

The Cuddles Rugs are offered as part of Laminak's 100% Donation items for the Faire, along with a selection of candles.

All items are 100% Original Mesh, Copy, Mod, No Transfer.

Secondly, the new versions of the Antique Beds.
I've been asked quite a few times to create different wood options, so I've created, Aged Black and Mid Oak versions.

The two new beds come with 2 bedding textures, the Country Cream original, plus Country Flowers for the Mid Oak, and a new Black Damask bedding and curtain set for the Aged Black, wood.
They come in Adult or PG, in a set with the matching side table and rugs, or on their own.

And Finally, as if that wasn't enough for one blog ;-)
I've created matching bedroom furniture for each of the woods.

I have made these new pieces of furniture extra-large! for the big castles and mansions, but they're modifiable and can be shrunk down to fit most, if not all, homes.

Phew ...
I'm onto a new project today, something Boho in style for the May round of Swank, and I've just started the next Group Gift, which I'll release soon.
Until next time, stay safe and stay at home. ;-)

Lots of love and many Hugs
Casey

Hollywood Glamour at Swank

Greetings Everyone ;-)

It's almost time for Laminak's second round at Swank and this month it's 'Hollywood Glamour!'

I've created a chaise set, complete with antique chaise longue, a side table, rugs, pictures and a champagne tray, which hands out a cool glass of bubbly.

It's a strange time we currently live in, with the virus, but Second Life is such a fabulous place to go, to carry on life as normal, meet friends, socialize and just have a bit of fun.

I started this set before things got as bad as they currently have and I wondered if I should still release it, after all, it's a party type set and would people really want to party? but then I thought, people need to get up close and personal with their friends and loved ones more than ever right now and need cheering up, so here it is.

I hope you're all keeping safe, I hope you haven't been badly affected by it, I hope all your loved ones, friends and families are well and I hope you're managing to keep sane whilst the lockdown is in place!

Get your real-life friends and family to join you in SL, or just gather your SL friends and family and host some parties, have a drink and shut the real-life nightmares out for a while ;-)

Perhaps the Swank event could give you ideas? there's plenty to choose from, indoor and outdoor decor and furniture, clothes for men and women, gadgets and accessories!
Host that party, whatever theme you go for, or no theme at all, just 'be' together ;-).

The 'Hollywood Glamour' Chaise's come in 4 different upholstery textures, White and Black, Cream and Vintage Print.
2 different kinds of wood, Black or Natural, and either as PG or Adult, in a set or on their own.
The blankets also have 15 different texture options, so there should be a colour that matches with the rest of your home ;-)

I've also created chaises with textures to match the Country Cream, Country Flowers and Regal Red Antique Oak Bed sets, these are available in my little store.

**These chaises just come with a side table as the other accessories are available with the Bed sets**

I think that's it for now, Please keep safe all of you.
Sending huge hugs and love.

Sneaky Peaks - Freebies - and Exciting News!

Greetings Everyone ;-)

Firstly, and most importantly, I hope you, your family and friends are all ok.💖💖💖
In these very uncertain times, I hope you're keeping safe and haven't been affected by the virus. If you have been, though, I hope you were one of the 80% who hasn't had it too badly.

To help keep you occupied in Second Life, not that I'm sure you need it as there's so much going on! ;-) I've made a backdrop. It's completely free if you pick up the non-animated version and 10L (because of the TOS with the animations) if you want the one with animations.
The words are separate so you can move them around and change the colours as much as you want! My hope was that you could arrange the words around group gatherings, in places we're currently not allowed to go in the real world ;-).
It's the Laminak April group gift, released early, but you don't have to be in the group to grab it. I'll add the LM's below for where to find it.

I'm getting ready, slowly but surely, for the next round of SWANK. The April theme is 'Hollywood Glamour' and I've created a chaise set for it, complete with pictures, decor and something fizzy! The photo at the top and the following one is a sneaky peek, but these will be released on the 7th of April.

There will be 7 versions! one to match each of the beds currently available and 4 exclusives - 2 French Cottage and 2 Hollywood Glamour.

Finally .... drum roll please ....... ;-)

I've been accepted to join the Fantasy Faire!!!!

I can't tell you how thrilled and excited I am about this!!
I've got something very special in mind to make for it, so as soon as I've finished making the April round of Swank things I'll get straight on it and I'll share some sneaky peeks as I go along, but for now, I'll wish you all a safe time over the lockdown. Be careful and wash those hands!

Much love and many hugs
